A spectacular parade of portable shrines down the river (mikoshi kawatogyo)!

Held over the course of a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in late July of each year, this festival is full of impressive sights including 27 portable shrines (mikoshi) and 9 parade floats (dashi) and carts, a portable shrine parade down a river, and a fireworks show featuring roughly 20,000 fireworks.
