Adventure Guides Kyoko Yamazaki
I have been active in Oku-Nikko since 2016. As a student, I worked part-time in interpretation and encountered children who didn’t just dislike insects, but could not stand them. That experience made me wish for people, whether they like or dislike them, to at least come into contact with these living creatures, and to discover the fascination and depth of the natural environments surrounding them. With this passion, I became an interpreter and nature guide, and I continue to devote myself to this work every day.

| PR Points / Message for Travelers | I offer a wide range of guiding experiences in the Oku-Nikko area, especially around Senjogahara, from leisurely hikes to light long-course trekking, and even snowshoeing in winter. I enjoy observing the shapes and behaviors of living creatures, as well as the terrain, and asking questions like how and why they came to become the way they are. Often, there are ingenious adaptations or hidden histories that leave us amazed. Let’s enjoy nature together, sometimes by thinking and discovering, and other times by simply relaxing and spacing out. |
