Jun Classic Country Club is a prestigious golf course set amid the rolling hills of Minami-Nasu in Tochigi, offering a refined Japanese atmosphere in a resort setting.
The 18-hole course, developed under supervision by legendary golfer Gene Sarazen, is masterfully designed to harmonize beauty and skill, making full use of the natural terrain, strategically placed cross bunkers, and highly challenging greens. Over the club’s impressive history, it has hosted 18 men’s professional golf regular tour tournaments.
The surrounding facilities provide a tranquil and relaxing retreat, designed around a central Western-style clubhouse. Guests can savor regional cuisine and traditional Japanese hospitality at the hilltop Western restaurant or the thatched-roof Japanese dining venue, Inakaya. Utsunomiya, the most populous city in Tochigi, is about an hour from Tokyo by Shinkansen, and serves as a major transportation hub for the different regions of the prefecture. In addition to being known for its famous Gyoza (pan-fried dumplings), Utsunomiya is called the “city of jazz and cocktails”, as there are numerous venues for hearing live jazz music, and the bartenders are quite skilled, so there are plenty of options for enjoyable nightlife.
