Karasuyamajo Country Club, the host venue of the 2021 Japan Women’s Open Championship, features 27 holes designed by master golf course architect Seiichi Inoue, comprising ‘Honmaru’, ‘Ninomaru’, and ‘Sannomaru’ sections.
The course layout weaves together elegant beauty and meticulous strategic depth, offering golfers a richly varied playing experience: the same location will at times soothe players with its grace, and at others challenginge them with demanding shot-making. Making full use of the vast natural landscape of Karasuyama, the course continues to captivate all who visit.
In addition to the clubhouse and an expansive practice facility, the club offers on-site accommodations with natural hot spring baths. Guests can also enjoy refined dining options, including Garyukaku, a Japanese restaurant which serves creative kaiseki cuisine, Suiko, a yakiniku restaurant offering carefully selected ingredients such as premium Tochigi Wagyu beef.
An exceptional range of facilities enhances and enriches the overall golf lifestyle experience.

Utsunomiya, the most populous city in Tochigi, is about an hour from Tokyo by Shinkansen, and serves as a major transportation hub for the different regions of the prefecture. In addition to being known for its famous Gyoza (pan-fried dumplings), Utsunomiya is called the “city of jazz and cocktails”, as there are numerous venues for hearing live jazz music, and the bartenders are quite skilled, so there are plenty of options for enjoyable nightlife.
